A Jeep pulling out of a parking lot and entering an oncoming lane led to a deadly head-on collision that claimed two young lives in Batavia, Arkansas. Nineteen-year-old Isaiah Ray Riddell and a juvenile passenger died in the crash on Tuesday morning, November 3, 2026.

The collision happened around 7:38 a.m. on State Highway 392, where wet and rainy conditions affected the roadway. Isaiah, a resident of Jasper, Arkansas, was operating a 2014 Kawasaki motorcycle with the young passenger when they encountered a 2001 Jeep Cherokee entering the highway.

The Jeep was pulling out of a parking lot and preparing to travel east. As it entered the westbound lane, it collided head-on with the westbound motorcycle. The force of the crash left both motorcycle occupants with fatal injuries. Their next of kin were subsequently notified.

The crash has left questions about how a routine journey turned into a fatal collision. The Arkansas State Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident. The identity of the juvenile passenger has not been publicly released because of their age.

For Isaiah’s family, however, the tragedy goes beyond the details of a police investigation. He was a young man with a life of his own, a job, friendships and family relationships that meant a great deal to him. Born on June 6, 2007, in Harrison, he was raised in the Jasper area and graduated from Jasper High School in 2025. He was employed at Wabash before his death.

Isaiah enjoyed riding motorcycles, playing video games and spending time with his friends. He also loved basketball and enjoyed getting together with friends to play. His obituary reveals a young man who found happiness in ordinary moments and took pleasure in the things he loved.

Family was especially important to him. Isaiah cared deeply for his two younger brothers and took his role as their big brother seriously. He wanted to look after them and help guide them. He also enjoyed preparing his favorite meal, mac and cheese, and was remembered for his smile and willingness to lend a helping hand.

Now, the people closest to him are preparing to say their final goodbyes. Visitation will take place Tuesday, November 10, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Coffman Funeral Home of Jasper. His funeral service is scheduled for Wednesday, November 11, at 2 p.m., with burial to follow at Smith Cemetery in Vendor.

The second victim’s family is also facing the loss of a young loved one whose name has not been made public. While the investigation continues, two families are left to deal with the consequences of a crash that happened in a matter of moments. For Isaiah’s loved ones, the memories of his time with them will remain, even as they face a future without him.
