Raygine Glentasia Evans, 28, was arrested Wednesday in connection with a September hit-and-run that killed 16-year-old Hernan Martinez.
The crash took place just after 9:30 p.m. on September 22 in Hyde Park. Police say Evans was driving a blue Nissan Sentra east on 60th Street near 10th Avenue.
Investigators allege she was going over 80 mph and ran a stop sign. The car hit Hernan and his 14-year-old sister Vicky as they crossed with their mother.
Hernan died at the scene. Vicky suffered serious injuries and was hospitalized.
Evans and a passenger left the car after it struck a parked vehicle and fled on foot. They were picked up by another car.
Police had identified Evans earlier and offered a $50,000 reward. Detectives found her in Los Angeles County on October 28.
She faces charges including murder and is held on high bail. The case will move through the court system. The allegations have not been proven.
