James Parker, 74, died right there on the floor of a gas station store in Little Rock. It happened Thursday evening at the Circle K on Colonel Glenn Road. Police got the call around 5:18 p.m. They found him with gunshot wounds. He was gone before they could do much.
Ladontae Wilburn, just 19, got hit too. Crews took him to the hospital. He did not make it. Four other people took bullets that night. Three of them hung on in critical shape for a while.

Cops checked the store cameras. James Parker stood near the front register with a few others right before everything went sideways. Ladontae walked in holding a handgun with a big drum magazine on it.
One of the hurt folks pointed a gun straight at Ladontae. The two started shooting at each other. Somebody else joined in with their own gun. Kavontae Wilburn, Ladontae’s twin brother, stood in the doorway and fired several rounds toward three of the people inside.
Kelvion Trammell was there too. Investigators held him for questioning. The whole thing turned into a mess of flying bullets in a place where folks just stop for gas and snacks.
James Parker lived in Mansfield, Texas. He was not part of any fight. He just got caught in the middle. Ladontae was still a kid in a lot of ways. His family now faces the hard truth of losing him so young.
The case stays open. Kavontae faces charges. Families of the dead and the wounded try to piece their lives back together after one quick burst of violence on Colonel Glenn Road.
