Alex Langor died early Sunday when the grey Honda Civic he rode in left Highway 1 in Grand Pré and went over an embankment. The 18-year-old from Prospect Bay was one of five people in the car. It happened around 1:53 a.m. on October 18.
The car carried four others. One of them got life-threatening injuries. The rest were hurt too. First responders got to the scene fast. They found the Civic off the road and down the slope.

Alex was just 18. That age should mean starting jobs, making plans, hanging with friends. Instead his family and friends now face a sudden empty space. People who knew him say he had a lot ahead of him.
Police are still looking into what caused the crash. They have not released more details yet. The investigation continues with help from medical examiners.
Four young people left the road that night. One did not survive. The others face hospital stays and long recovery. Families wait for answers while they deal with the loss.
Friends and relatives remember Alex for the everyday things he did and the plans he talked about. Those memories are what they hold onto now.
The crash on Highway 1 cut short a life that had only begun. Alex Langor will be remembered by the people who cared about him.
