Keith Walton was just nine years old. He lived in Monroe City, Indiana. On Sunday afternoon his ride home turned deadly.
The crash happened around 2:46 p.m. on State Road 57 near County Road 700 South in Daviess County. Keith sat in a southbound 2017 Dodge minivan. A northbound 2022 Chevrolet lost control and slammed into it.

First responders found Keith with critical injuries. They flew him to Riley Children’s Hospital in Indianapolis. He did not make it.
Keith had a whole life waiting. More birthdays. More games. More days with family. All that stopped in one moment on a quiet Sunday road.
Police named the Chevrolet driver as 25-year-old Jacob Sisco from Washington. Chemical tests led to his arrest. He faces charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated resulting in death and serious bodily injury.
The probe continues. Accident reconstruction teams are still working the scene. No other details have been released yet.
