A hatchback driven by a 23-year-old from Whitehouse lost control on West Dussel Drive in Maumee Friday afternoon. It crossed into oncoming traffic and started a three-vehicle crash that killed Lisa Robinson.
Lisa, 59, of Toledo, sat in the passenger seat of a sedan driven by a 34-year-old Toledo man. They were going west. The hatchback hit their car first. Then it struck a third vehicle driven by a 60-year-old man from Port Clinton.

Crews rushed Lisa and the two younger drivers to the hospital. Lisa was pronounced dead there. The sedan driver and hatchback driver had serious injuries that were not life-threatening. The Port Clinton man was treated at the scene.
Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers said every person involved had a seat belt on. The crash shut down West Dussel Drive for roughly four hours.
Lisa’s death came without warning on what started as a regular day. Her family and friends now carry the weight of losing her so fast.
The people closest to her will hold onto the memories they made with her. Those moments are what remain.
The road reopened once the investigation work finished at the scene. The loss stays with those who knew Lisa Robinson.
