A 70-year-old woman from Disney, Oklahoma, died Thursday afternoon after the car she was riding in left State Highway 28 in Delaware County. Her name was Lavonne Fraser.

It happened shortly before 4 p.m., according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. Troopers say the early signs point to a medical episode. The driver may have had one while driving along the highway.

After that, the vehicle went off the road to the right. It broke through a fence, then slammed into a concrete wall.

Lavonne was a passenger. She died in the crash.

The driver was injured. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol has not said how serious those injuries are. It also has not said what happened with the suspected medical episode.

Details about Lavonne’s personal life have not been made public. What her family wants people to know about her has not been shared. She was 70 years old, and she called Disney home.

Troopers are still working the case. For now, what’s known is short: a highway, a fence, a concrete wall and a woman who didn’t survive.
