A Saturday night in rural south Alabama ended in sudden tragedy when 24-year-old Will E. Foshee lost his life in a single-vehicle rollover crash along a dark stretch of county road.
The Red Level resident was driving a 2021 Honda CR-V along Conecuh County Road 42 near Pate Camp Road around 10:21 p.m. on September 26, 2026. The spot sits roughly 26 miles southeast of Evergreen, surrounded by dense timberland and winding rural pavement.

According to state law enforcement reports, the SUV drifted off the right side of the roadway for reasons still under review. The vehicle collided with several trees along the wooded shoulder before flipping over onto its roof.
First responders rushed to the scene shortly after the 10:21 p.m. call came in. Emergency crews found the vehicle heavily damaged among the trees. Foshee suffered fatal injuries in the impact and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Alabama State Troopers who processed the crash site noted that Foshee was not wearing a seat belt when the crash occurred. Investigators spent hours documenting tire marks, road conditions, and vehicle positioning along the isolated corridor.
News of the fatal wreck traveled fast through Red Level and surrounding Conecuh County towns on Sunday morning. Friends and family members remembered Foshee as a young man with his whole life ahead of him, leaving a tight-knit rural community in quiet disbelief.
Officers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate the exact factors that led to the crash. No other vehicles or passengers were involved in the late-night incident.
