A judge reduced bail to $2 million on Thursday for a man accused of shooting his wife and teenage son to death.

Hammodi Ahmed Ali Al Naser appeared in Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas facing two counts of aggravated murder.

The court appearance follows a violent incident on Saturday afternoon at a house along the 3800 block of Evelyn Drive.

Police officers arriving at the property recovered a handgun and took Naser into custody without any physical resistance.

The judge initially set Naser’s bond at $5 million during a municipal court hearing earlier in the week before lowering it on Thursday.

Court officials bound the double homicide case over to a Cuyahoga County grand jury for formal indictment proceedings.

North Olmsted Police Detective Lieutenant Matt Beck stated that investigators have not yet established a motive behind the shooting.

Naser remains held in custody as homicide detectives continue reviewing physical evidence gathered from the house.
